Project Overview:
This refurbishment is a major cut-and-carve redevelopment of an 82,000 sq ft landmark building in Soho. The project is transforming the site into a modern, high-quality workplace while retaining and enhancing the existing structure, with improved office floorplates, new retail space at basement and ground level.
Our Role in the Project:
With strict adaptive reuse and circular initiatives being key priorities for this project, BAM and Getjar reached out to us at Powerday to provide comprehensive waste and closed loop solutions to recycle over 14 tonnes of glass windows.
At Powerday, we’re committed to supporting circular goals by helping move materials as far up the waste hierarchy as possible through practical closed-loop recycling solutions.
Once collected from site, the glass was brought to our facility to be crushed into cullet. From there, it was transported to Saint-Gobain in East Yorkshire, where it will be recycled back into new window glass.
We have been successfully collaborating with Saint-Gobain through the Glass Forever closed-loop programme since 2023, and we look forward to continuing to deliver more circular outcomes like this in the future.
