Countryside Partnerships is revitalising Maidenhead’s town center with the St Cloud Way project. This comprehensive mixed-use development seamlessly integrates residential, commercial, and public spaces, fostering a vibrant community.
The project kicked off in autumn 2022, following the closure of the Magnet Leisure Centre, which has since been replaced by the Braywick Leisure Centre.
Overview
Key Objectives:
In this phase, St Cloud Way aims to introduce 342 apartments and 9 houses, seeking to provide diverse housing options. Furthermore, the project aims to attract businesses with new commercial spaces, implement sustainable building practices, and enhance public amenities to boost community engagement.
Progress:
To date, several phases of the project have successfully completed and become occupied, driving up local property values and stimulating economic activity. Currently, developers are creating features like parks and community centres to enhance community cohesion.

Countryside sees St Cloud Way as a pioneering model for urban redevelopment. The project strives to balance growth with sustainability and community well-being, setting a standard for future initiatives.
Project Overview:
St Cloud Way stands as the largest and second redevelopment effort by the Royal Borough Development Partnership, a joint venture between the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and Countryside Partnerships.
Recycling
Since early 2023, Powerday has actively provided waste management services for this ongoing project. Their services mainly include Skip Exchanges, Wait and Load services, and COSHH collections. So far, the project has removed 425.35 tonnes of material from the site, recycling 342.09 tonnes (80.43%) and converting 83.26 tonnes (19.57%) into energy.
Hardcore materials such as bricks, concretes, and ceramics, along with wooden packaging, rank as the most commonly recovered items. These materials account for 186.51 tonnes (43.9%) of all the waste collected to date.
