£2m Investment In Further Fleet Upgrades
15th June 2017

Powerday has purchased 25 new vehicles as part of the company’s continued commitment to safety and efficiency in fleet management.
The £2million deal with Volvo includes 25 skip vehicles, 5 of which come with trailers, replacing 20 three year old vehicles. The new cabs all feature a driver-side glass panel to improve visibility, five cameras, and remote control skip operation that allows the driver to position themselves where they have all-round vision of the operation, providing greater safety for the driver and others in the vicinity. The vehicles are Euro 6 compliant with emissions free of nitrogen oxide (NOx).
The first vehicles arrived at Powerday this week with the rest due between now and July. Transport Manager, Bill Cox says: “Powerday’s continued investment in our vehicles demonstrates our commitment to best practice in the management of our fleet, particularly with regards to safety and environmental responsibility. We are delighted to take delivery of these latest additions.”
Powerday holds FORS Gold accreditation and is also a CLOCS (Construction Logistics and Community Safety) Champion and a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
