Academy Golf Day Most Successful Yet

The annual Powerday sponsored London Irish Amateurs’ Golf Day took place at Ealing Golf Club last week.

Over 150 guests joined Powerday’s Chairman Mick Crossan for great hospitality and golf on a beautiful day at the West London club on 25th June. This annual event has now become a key feature in everyone’s golfing calendar.

The course was immaculate and its renowned greens were fast and true as always. Guests enjoyed a choice of refreshments throughout the day including a Guinness bar and the ever popular Italian bar at the 14th hole. The event, the most successful in its twelve year history to date, raises funds which support the London Irish Academy and enables them to invest in the London Irish stars of the future.

Guests were joined in the evening by players and coaches from the Club. The prize giving and auction were preceded by the prestigious award of the James Naughton Memorial Trophy for Academy Player of the Year. This year it was awarded to Tom Fowlie who has represented London Irish 1st team and England U20s.

Mick Crossan, Chairman of Powerday and long term supporter of the London Irish Academy says: “It is fantastic to see so many friends here today who every year support this event so generously. The development of our Academy is a critical part of our future so my sincere thanks go to all those who have so kindly supported the day”.

We were pleased to have awarded this contract to Powerday.  They have delivered their services efficiently and reliably, achieved high recycling rates and 100% recovery, meeting our requirements throughout the project.  They have been easy to deal with, reasonable and fair.  We have been particularly impressed with their account management and waste reporting capabilities
