Construction News Presentation Brings Award A Step Closer
19th June 2014

Powerday, Kotuku and St George presented to the Construction News Award panel earlier this month bringing them a step closer to the Award.
The partnership, having been shortlisted for the Construction News Training Initiative of the Year Award, for the Kotuku Environmental Labour Project (KELP) was required to present to the panel of judges to support their application. The presentation covered the background, content and future of the scheme which has equipped 87 young unemployed Londoners with relevant skills and qualifications and provided 78 of them with work opportunities in the construction and waste industries.
A video of the candidates talking about the scheme and what it had done for them was played at the presentation and can be viewed below.
Powerday, Kotuku and St George find out on 17th July at the Grosvenor House, London whether they have been successful.

We were pleased to have awarded this contract to Powerday. They have delivered their services efficiently and reliably, achieved high recycling rates and 100% recovery, meeting our requirements throughout the project. They have been easy to deal with, reasonable and fair. We have been particularly impressed with their account management and waste reporting capabilities
