Eight Years Of Fors Gold Renewal Achieved!
11th February 2022

Powerday has retained the highly-regarded gold standard of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) for the eighth year running.
One of less than 700 companies across the country to hold the gold certification, Powerday sets the highest standards in road haulage, enabling us to deliver efficient and responsible waste collection services.
We have been certified with the voluntary FORS scheme, which recognises fleet operators for best practice in safety, efficiency and environmental standards, since 2010. Starting out with bronze, we progressed to silver in 2014 and very quickly to gold in 2015. Renewal of the accreditation is by successful completion of an extensive audit which was carried out in January.
Our extensive fleet, which includes skip and roro lorries, dustcarts, artics, caged and box vans, is out in the Capital 7 days a week to meet the waste transport needs of all our clients, whatever challenges London presents us with.
Transport Manager, John Gowran says: “We are proud of our achievements in best practice fleet management, particularly in the areas of health and safety and environmental responsibility, and are pleased to have this recognised with retention of the gold standard.”
To ensure we meet the highest standards for emissions and efficiency, all our vehicles are Euro 6 and ULEZ compliant and are replaced on a three-year cycle. Committed to ensuring the safety of other road users in London, we are a CLOCS Champion and regularly participate in events to raise awareness of cycling safety on London’s roads.
