Powerday is sponsoring the Bedford Park Festival, helping the world's first garden suburb recycle and recover the waste generated at the community focused event in June. The Festival combining arts and social events is organised by St Michael and All Angels Church. Taking place in Chiswick between 8th and 23rd June, the event raises money for charity and celebrates the local community.

Powerday provided free skips and wheelie bins as well as collection services for the waste generated at the Greendays event which took place on Acton Green Common on 8th and 9th June. The on-site waste management was provided by volunteers from the Kotuku Environmental Labour Project (KELP) which helps provide jobs in waste and construction for young unemployed Londoners. All waste was taken to Powerday's site at Old Oak Sidings where as much as possible is recycled and the rest recovered for renewable fuel.

Simon Little, Sales and Marketing Director, Powerday says: "The Bedford Park Festival encourages a strong sense of community and good environmental practices. Powerday is pleased to sponsor this local event that shares our values."
