Powerday Announces Changes To Its Leadership Team
13th August 2020

Powerday has today announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Liam Kearney, has been promoted to Joint Managing Director, alongside Managing Director, Jim Craig.
New roles at the top
In this new role, Liam will continue to provide strategic financial counsel, as well as taking on responsibility for sales and marketing, transport, human resources and IT. After a successful decade as part of the senior management team, which has seen the company go through a period of sustained growth, Jim will continue as Joint Managing Director as he moves towards retirement, with responsibility for operations, compliance, SHEQ, construction and RDF/SRF outlets.
This appointment comes as the company looks to achieve further growth in key markets and follows the news that it acquired two new waste transfer stations covering a total of 114,792 sq ft – significantly expanding its coverage of London and the home counties. Earlier this year, it also announced that Anthony Davitt and Bradley Collins had been promoted to Sales Director and Head of Sales, respectively.
Edward Crossan, Vice Chairman of Powerday, commented:
“Our people are at the heart of what we do at Powerday, and Jim has been a real asset to the company for the past decade. As he nears a well deserved retirement after a 50-year career in construction, we are delighted that Liam has stepped up to become Joint Managing Director. I look forward to working with them both and have no doubt that together they will help us achieve our strategic objectives and successfully navigate the ‘new normal’ and deliver another period of sustained success for the business.”
