2nd May 2013
Joining over 1,300 others at Grosvenor House, Park Lane last week, Powerday and guests celebrated excellence in the construction industry at the prestigious Building Awards 2013.
Powerday was proud sponsor of the Contractor of the Year (over £300m) Award for the third year running. Willmot Dixon, one of the UK’s largest privately-owned capital works, regeneration and support service companies, was the worthy winner this year with finalists Sir Robert McAlpine, McLaren Construction Group and Galiford Try.
Rob Brydon presented the awards on an evening dominated by the Shard which won a number of awards including Project of the Year.
Simon Little, Sales & Marketing Director, Powerday says: “The Building Awards celebrate all that is best about the UK construction industry. Breath taking projects like the Shard are continuing despite the industry continuing to face difficult times. Powerday congratulates all the finalists and winners of this year’s awards.”

We were pleased to have awarded this contract to Powerday. They have delivered their services efficiently and reliably, achieved high recycling rates and 100% recovery, meeting our requirements throughout the project. They have been easy to deal with, reasonable and fair. We have been particularly impressed with their account management and waste reporting capabilities
