Powerday Expands Closed-Loop Glass Collection Service with Innovative Mobile Crushing Unit
Powerday is proud to announce the expansion of its closed-loop glass collection service, following the arrival of a state-of-the-art mobile glass crushing unit developed by Saint-Gobain. Housed within a repurposed shipping container, this innovative equipment enhances our ability to support clients in recycling glass waste back into new window products—further strengthening our commitment to a circular economy.
This initiative is a key step forward in sustainable construction practices, enabling more businesses to close the loop on glass use by reducing waste and supporting the re-manufacture of high-quality materials at Saint-Gobain’s facility.
In 2024 alone, Powerday successfully recovered 112 tonnes of glass through this partnership, diverting waste from landfill and reducing demand for raw materials. With this new mobile unit now operational, we are poised to increase this figure significantly in the months ahead.
