Powerday Extend Their Support For An Eleventh Season

London Irish is delighted to announce that Powerday will continue as the Principal Partner for the 2021/22 season.

As the main sponsor and key investor of the Club, Powerday – the largest family-owned recycling and waste management company in the South East of England – will support London Irish as the Club’s main sponsor for the ninth successive season.

To recognise this essential investment and support, Powerday branding will feature prominently on London Irish’s home and away kit, along with all training apparel and branding opportunities at the Hazelwood training complex and also the magnificent Brentford Community Stadium throughout the 2021/22 rugby season.

Off the pitch, London Irish and Powerday will continue to mutually collaborate on a wide range of bespoke events and unique initiatives, whilst ensuring their joint impact delivers exceptional positive outcomes for individuals and communities across London in some of the most hard to reach areas and estates.

Powerday Chairman and London Irish President and Owner, Mick Crossan, said: “Powerday is pleased to continue and extend our commitment as title sponsor to London Irish for the forthcoming season. I am also exceptionally proud of steering London Irish back into the capital – our spiritual base – to grow on our historic roots, undoubted potential and relationships for the future.

“We are about to launch upon a very exciting time for the Club and next seasons’ campaign – both on and off the pitch – promises so much in terms of development at all levels, and hopefully success.

“Powerday and London Irish have many shared values and a clear commitment to making things better as a core value, and we will continue to commit effort and endeavour to further expand our impact and outcomes to benefit communities and provide opportunities to change ‘Young Londoners Lives for the Better’.”

“I would also like to thank our stadium owners, directors and all staff at Brentford FC and congratulate them on their recent promotion to the Premier League. The work the club has undertaken over many years is admirable and they have certainly set a great example for many clubs in the football league. The atmosphere down at the Brentford Community Stadium is second to none, with many feeling positive about the future and we hope this will bode well for both the football club and London Irish.

“The new stadium has been a fantastic boost for the local community, and we are delighted to be back in London again, something that has been made even better with the recent return of fans. We hope the followers of both Brentford and London Irish get to see some great performances and enjoy many years of success.”

Mark Bensted, London Irish CEO, added: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Powerday, and we are grateful to Mick and his team for their long-standing support of the Club.

“It’s a relationship that continues to flourish and our recent move back into London will only serve to enhance the work we do together.”
