Powerday Helps With Playground Clear Up

Last weekend, Powerday was delighted to help the Loughborough Junction Action Group (LJAG) in their efforts to reopen a local playground near our waste transfer station in Brixton.

The local community group in Loughborough Junction was working with a group of local people and parents to reopen the Grove Adventure Playground in Gordon Grove, SE5. Powerday provided the skips which helped to complete the site clear up.

The group has repaired the playground and is ready to reopen it for supervised play for local children from one of the most deprived areas of London.

Powerday Chairman Mick Crossan said: “We are delighted to help
deliver this project, it’s good to see the space come back into use and it will be a fun place for the local children to enjoy”.
