Powerday Opens Ninth Site in West Drayton with Rail Access
Strong Progress at Our New West Drayton Site
Powerday is pleased to share an update on the development of our newest facility in West Drayton, which marks our ninth operational site and further strengthens our presence across London.
Since securing the site earlier this year, operations are now underway, with exciting progress already made. Recent milestones include the completion of surface concreting and the installation of a new weighbridge, setting a strong foundation for the site’s future growth.
The West Drayton facility is being developed to support recycling aggregates and the import and export of materials via rail. Each train arriving or departing the site can transport the equivalent of approximately 90 lorry loads, helping to reduce road traffic and cut carbon emissions from HGVs.
Looking ahead, we’re exploring opportunities to transport materials by rail between our Old Oak and West Drayton sites, enhancing operational efficiency and further minimising our environmental impact.
This development represents another step forward in Powerday’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation in waste management and resource recovery.
