Powerday Partners with Fulham Cross Academy on 5-Year STEM Challenge Programme
Powerday is proud to announce its support for Fulham Cross Academy in an exciting five-year national STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) challenge programme led by The Learning Partnership.
The initiative is designed to engage students with real-world STEM learning through hands-on engineering and technology challenges, delivered in partnership with local businesses.
Fulham Cross Academy is one of 300 schools across the UK participating in the programme, which introduces students to a new STEM challenge each academic year. From building and racing model rocket cars in their first year to designing drone technology by their final year, the programme offers students a chance to build critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a fun and innovative way.
Powerday’s involvement reflects its commitment to supporting young people and education in the communities it serves. Through this partnership, students will not only gain exposure to STEM in action but also develop valuable links with local industries and role models in the world of work.
The Learning Partnership is dedicated to pioneering innovations that bolster leadership, pedagogy, curriculum design and student engagement. Their STEM challenge programme is a key part of that mission, empowering schools to offer students unique experiences beyond the traditional classroom environment.
Jessica Crossan, Sustainability Manager at Powerday says: “We’re delighted to be part of this inspiring programme and to support Fulham Cross Academy on their journey to develop the next generation of STEM leaders.”
