Powerday Presents On Site Waste Management Plans
3rd August 2012

Earlier this week, Powerday helped to provide free Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP) training to the construction sector at the East Malling Conference Centre in Kent. The training was part of the ZeroWISE Sustainable Construction Project coordinated by Remade South East and organised by LRS Consultancy. Participants learnt about the importance of sustainable construction, the need for SWMPs and how to approach them.
Sales & Marketing Director, Simon Little, gave the delegates a waste management contractor’s perspective, speaking about landfill tax and other waste industry drivers as well as onsite and offsite segregation and best practice.
Simon said: “As one of London’s largest suppliers of skips working with many of the major construction companies, Powerday is well practiced in helping to develop and maintain Site Waste Management Plans as well as providing recycling data to evidence these. I was very happy to have this opportunity to share our expertise with delegates and to do our bit to help enable sustainable construction across the South East.”
