Powerday Secures Uk Rdf Outlet With Ferrybridge Multifuel Energy Limited
10th April 2015

Powerday is delighted to announce a contract with Ferrybridge Multifuel Energy Limited (FMFEL) to supply refuse derived fuel (RDF) to their new power station in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire.
The plant, which is a joint venture between Scottish and Southern Energy Plc (SSE) and Wheelabrator Technologies Inc, will produce 68MW of low carbon electricity and heat using RDF produced at Powerday’s Materials Recycling Facilities in London.
Simon Little, Powerday’s Sales and Marketing Director says: “We have enjoyed a long relationship with SSE supplying them with renewable fuels over many years so we are very happy to be participating in this project by supplying commissioning fuels over the coming months. This is another Powerday contract that ensures that the UK’s valuable resources are used to produce recyclable materials and quality renewable fuels in the UK which is what our customers want. This contract comes on the back of our recent renewable fuel contracts with MVV at Ridham Dock and AssetGen in Hoddesdon which fits perfectly with our strategy for resource efficiency for the coming years.”
