Powerday sponsors Construction Zero Waste Awards
Powerday is sponsoring the construction category of the Let’s Recycle Zero Waste awards. This announcement comes days after launching our Sustainability and Wellness Manifesto, outlining how we are integrating sustainability throughout our business, and celebrates our environmental credentials with the construction industry.
The Zero Waste Awards recognise organisations working to reduce their waste to landfill. Let’s Recycle believe that working towards zero waste is an ongoing journey, and the scheme is structured so that businesses can celebrate their progress along the way. Winners are evaluated by a panel of expert judges and then receive a one-to-five star rating, joining a 500 member community of sustainable businesses.
Anthony Davitt, Sales Director, Powerday says: “Many construction companies have set bold targets and are taking great steps towards zero waste. As the waste management contractor of choice for this industry, we are very pleased to sponsor the construction category of the Zero Waste Awards and to be supporting these great initiatives.”
Rob Mowat, Director, Let’s Recycle says: “As a prominent and active player in the recycling and waste management industry, Powerday has supported Let’s Recycle for many years. We are delighted to continue this relationship and see them sponsor the construction category of the Zero Waste Awards which aligns so closely with their business activities and client base”.
The Construction Zero Waste Awards are open to all those involved in the construction industry supply chain. Businesses interested in applying have until 9th April 2021 following an extended deadline due to Covid-19. Winners will be announced at the Zero Waste Awards Ceremony.
