Powerday Sponsors This Year’s Prestigious What House Awards
5th November 2013

Britain’s best new house-builders will be celebrated this month at the prestigious What House? Awards sponsored by Powerday. The event, widely perceived as the ‘Oscars’ of the house-building industry, is attended by some of the biggest and most influential names in the business.
A What House? award is regarded as the ultimate accolade for house builders – winners not only receive widespread national, local, trade, digital and social media coverage, but, in a highly competitive industry, they gain a crucial advantage as buyers look for the best. The most coveted title is House builder of the Year, won last year by CALA Homes.Alan Brown, CALA Homes’ Chief Executive, said: “It has… given us a great platform from which to demonstrate to our potential customers that everything we do is delivered to an exceptional standard: that when you buy from CALA you buy with complete confidence.”
Last year’s Awards Gala Luncheon was hosted by James Nesbitt and attended by nearly 1,400 senior figures from the industry. This year’s event, which will once again recognise an impressive standard of new house building throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, takes place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Friday 15th November. Again, more than 20 categories of awards will cover small, medium and large house building companies, as well as particular types of properties, such as starter homes, luxury homes, apartments, retirement properties, renovations or sustainable developments.
