Powerday Supports Bedford Park Green Days

Powerday is pleased to have supported the Bedford Park Festival Green Days for the fifth year running.

The two day fete and craft fair took place 12th June on Acton Green Common. Powerday provided wheelie bins and waste removal making it easy for visitors to recycle their waste which was taken to Powerday’s site at Old Oak Sidings where as much as possible was recycled and the rest recovered for renewable fuel.

Onsite waste management services were provided over the weekend by volunteers from the Kotuku Environmental Labour Project (KELP), Powerday and Kotuku’s highly successful scheme that helps provide jobs in waste and construction for young unemployed Londoners.

Mick Crossan, Chairman, Powerday says: “We are very pleased to have supported this local community focused event again this year and I am delighted to hear it was a great success.”

Organised by St Michael and All Angels Church, the annual event raises money for charity and celebrates the local community. Find out more about the Bedford Park Festival at www.bedfordparkfestival.org.

We were pleased to have awarded this contract to Powerday.  They have delivered their services efficiently and reliably, achieved high recycling rates and 100% recovery, meeting our requirements throughout the project.  They have been easy to deal with, reasonable and fair.  We have been particularly impressed with their account management and waste reporting capabilities
