Powerday And Wates Shortlisted For Industry Award
11th April 2011

Powerday and Wates have been shortlisted for Lets Recycle Awards for Excellence 2011 under the ‘Waste Management Initiative in the Commercial and Public Sector’ category.
The awards showcase innovation and success in recycling and waste management. Powerday and Wates have been shortlisted because their partnership has shown high levels of recycling through a first class solution. Powerday has been working in partnership with Wates since 2008 to meet the target of zero waste to landfill within London and the M25 which was successfully reached in 2010.
Simon Little, Sales and Marketing Director, Powerday says: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for our partnership with Wates that shows that zero waste to landfill is a realistic target for the construction industry.”
Jon Tivey, Environmental Manager, Wates, says: “Our partnership with Powerday has been vital in helping us to meet our target of zero waste to landfill in London and the M25 and in contributing to our national diversion rate of 95% for 2010. It is great to be recognised for these achievements.”
