Sustainability
Introducing our latest manifesto
Diverse social
Activity
At Powerday, we are always looking to do things better. For us this means identifying new ways of working that deliver sustainability and wellness benefits to the environment, our employees and clients.
We are immensely proud of our track record. Since opening our first Materials Recycling Facility in 2006, we have invested heavily in leading technologies to divert 100% of waste from landfill. This, coupled with our diverse social value activity, means we are able to make a real difference to all our stakeholders.
Sustainability and wellness manifesto
In March 2021, we unveiled Powerday’s first ever Sustainability and Wellness Manifesto. The report, which can be downloaded below, demonstrates what we are currently doing to help our clients meet their sustainability targets. It also looks to the future and what we will be doing next.
We have identified five key areas to focus on:
– Employees
– Local communities
– Carbon management
– Clients
– Procurement
By challenging ourselves in these areas, we will be able to further reduce the impact of our operations on the environment.

We were pleased to have awarded this contract to Powerday. They have delivered their services efficiently and reliably, achieved high recycling rates and 100% recovery, meeting our requirements throughout the project. They have been easy to deal with, reasonable and fair. We have been particularly impressed with their account management and waste reporting capabilities
