At Powerday, we are committed in taking resourceful and responsible steps to integrate sustainability into everything we do, to build a clean and healthier future.
We invest heavily to keep our company at the forefront of environmental developments in our industry and use our sustained growth to ensure we have a positive impact on society. We aim to be a responsible waste management company and work to minimise our own environmental impacts, support our local communities and help our clients meet sustainability targets.
We run a well-maintained, tracked fleet of over 75 Euro 6 and ULEZ compliant vehicles from five sites around London. Providing local, cost effective and efficient waste collection services, we reduce waste miles and minimise transport emissions.
Sustainable resource management
Our facilities have been designed to deliver 100% diversion from landfill for all our clients. Investing in the latest technology, we maximise the recycling and recovery of valuable resources and produce renewable fuels which are supplied to energy-from-waste plants across the UK and Europe. We continually explore new opportunities to minimise waste and ensure materials remain in their highest form for reuse.
Sustainable transport options
Our Old Oak Sidings site in North West London has unique transportation links. Located on a 26 mile lock-free section of the Grand Union Canal and also adjacent to the key rail hub of Willesden Junction the site benefits from its own rail sidings and canal wharf.
Delivering social value
We use our sustained growth to support our local communities, with a particular focus on improving the lives of disadvantaged young Londoners through sport and opportunity.
