Social Value
Powerday delivers social value across our refreshed sustainability strategy and its four core pillars. Since 2019, we have partnered with the Social Value Portal (SVP) to measure and report our contribution to society through the nationally recognised Themes, Outcomes and Measures (TOMs) framework, which allocates a financial value to the social impact we create. Using SVP’s structured methodology, we produce annual social value reports that help us formalise our approach, enhance accountability and maximise the positive economic, social and environmental outcomes of our operations and community programmes.
Our
Company
Our first social value report covered the financial year August 2018 to July 2019 and we have continued to report every year since. According to the Social Value Portal calculations, we have generated over £35m of social value in the last three years and over £67m since we have started reporting.
In the most recent period, August 2024 to July 2025, we delivered £13.9 million in social value, an increase from the previous year, driven by improved employment outcomes, community engagement and sustainability initiatives.
We are currently awaiting verification of our 2025/26 results, which are projected to show another significant uplift.
Enrichment Days
Powerday’s School Enrichment Days are industry-led educational events run in partnership with local schools. Our aim is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world careers by giving students hands-on exposure to key aspects of employment – such as apprenticeships, recruitment processes, and career pathways powerday.co.uk+3powerday.co.uk+3instagram.com+3. These days offer pupils the chance to explore different industries, engage with professionals, and gain a better understanding of how the workplace functions, helping them make more informed decisions about their future and develop the skills employers value.
